Energy Efficiency
Energy efficiency is the foundation for all clean energy, because the cheapest energy is what we don’t use. Energy efficiency is advanced by architects, engineers, industrial designers, product developers, other professionals, and tradespeople.
Careers in ‘building performance,’ the science of working with homes, businesses, and larger institutional buildings to maximize the energy efficiency of their structures, equipment and overall performance, do not require an advanced degree. The Building Performance Institute offers specialized training and an online “certificate of knowledge” for those entering the field.
